My name is Shelley Davies, I am the Operations Manager at Inverness Leisure.
I suppose you could call me a veteran of Inverness Leisure. I started in the Leisure industry at the age of 17 in the original pool in Glebe Street! I progressed from there as a lifeguard, swim teacher, sauna attendant and some may even remember me taking aqua aerobic classes!!
I moved to Inverness Leisure upon opening and since then have ventured through Departments and levels to the position I hold today. As part of my position I manage the Supervisory team who are responsible for the Facility on a day to day basis and the many challenges that are encountered. I assist the Head of Operations with the day to day operations of the Facility and I am responsible for the on-going training for the Facility. I manage the qualifications that all Associates hold to keep them current, their skills updated and ready to deal with our many customers on a daily basis.
I deliver training to the public and offer an opportunity to allow you to become a trained professional! Whether that’s gaining a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, becoming a first aider or gaining a competent standard within manual handling.
I enjoy working at Inverness Leisure as I am definitely a people person. I look forward to seeing what and who the day will bring and how I can help, whether that’s with a member of the internal team or new customers!
